Job description
The Database Administrator?s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software. Coordinates work for medium size projects and may supervise staff on an ongoing basis.
Role Description
Implements, monitors, and reorganizes databases architectures and prepares system documentation. Analyzes and resolves database system production problems. Participates in database design, data modeling and analyzing user requirements and statistics. Advises application programmers on database coding issues.
