Job Description:
Movie extras are the actors in the background who make scenes look realistic and alive. There is a constant need to fill the background of movies, TV shows, TV commercials, music videos, sitcoms and reality shows. Movie Extras get paid between up to $300 per day (depending on the project) for filling these spaces, standing around, or moving around behind the actors. You may be asked to ride a bicycle, throw a football, drink coffee, or simply walk by.
There's absolutely no question about it - if you'd like to appear in a movie or be seen on TV, you can. No matter what type of film - action & adventure, drama, comedy, romance, science fiction or horror - all will need dozens if not hundreds of movie extras. What's so great about being a movie extra is that jobs are easy to find since looks don't matter, education doesn't matter and your age doesn't matter. In fact, anyone can be a movie extra without any acting experience. Anyone can be a movie extra!
Sales, Clerical, Customer Service, Restaurant, Administrative, Receptionist experience is a plus!
