Job Description:
The Computer Merchant, LTD is currently seeking a Business Analyst to provide support for a Fortune 200 integrator in their client's facility in either Long Beach or El Segundo, California.
The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, motivation to grow and succeed and be prepared to 'get the job done'

This can be 3-month contract to hire opportunity or strictly a long-term contract.

Critical Experience:
Experience in the full engineering life cycle process, and providing business process analysis and consulting services for an Engineering IT Organization.
Experience working closely with Engineering teams, in developing business cases and decision support information to assist senior leadership in planning, prioritization and cost management initiatives.
Job Description:
Works in conjunction with Business Development to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships. Provides pre-sale and post-sale technical expertise on moderately complex projects to support and facilitate the sale of products and systems.
Will serve as a consultant to senior management and advise the Engineering IT organization on strategic direction pertaining to engineering automation, technology standardization / consolidation, and business transformation.
Responsibilities include requirements management/development, software architecture, design, development, trouble-shooting, and support of component / subsystem integration.
Candidates will apply advanced technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques associated with software development for engineering systems.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both verbally and in written form.
Successful candidate will be proactive, creative and innovative with sound analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ Years IT experience, with an emphasis in business process analysis, process re-engineering and business case development.
3+ Years Experience working with engineers of various disciplines in a collaborative, team environment.
3+ Years of engineering lifecycle experience (design, prototype, release management, change management, interfaces with Manufacturing and Program Office)
5+ years Experience designing / modeling solutions using modular, OOA/OOD concepts and UML tools.
Familiarity with Engineering tools and concepts: PLM / PDM, engineering automation tools, testing software.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Power Point, Word) and Visio Desired Qualifications:
Experience with PLM / PDM tools (i.e., PTC, UGS / Siemens)
Experience supporting other Engineering software (i.e., TestStand, Matlab, LabView, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Test Equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)
Software development experience within an Aerospace & Defense environment.
Familiarity with Six-Sigma, CMM / CMMI processes
