Job Description:
Position: Programmer Analyst
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Contract to Hire
Job Description:
The candidate must be able to solve complex technical problems and communicate the solution to non-technical management and peers.
The candidate must have the following core competencies:
· 3 years experience in systems analysis and software development
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to produce clear and concise documentation of deliverables.
· 3 years of SQL Server development experience
· Experience with Transact-SQL (advanced queries, complex joins, indexes)
· Experience with ETLs (DTS or SSIS).
· Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas
· Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation.
· Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
· Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
· Implement software application enhancement requests
· Document deliverables from each of the bullet items above.
· Experience with XML
· Ability to write, debug and unit test stored procedures and triggers
· Ability to optimize stored procedures written by others
· Experience with high volume, high-availability applications.
· Experience with Oracle applications.
· Knowledge of/experience with the Callidus software product (TrueComp) desired.
· Knowledge of/experience with Informatica desired.
· Perl knowledge/experience a plus.
