TCM is seeking a NETWORK ENGINEER:
Job Description:
Networking Engineer whose primary responsibility will be supporting LAN/WAN/Firewall network infrastructure environment. Duties will include providing project level support, along with architectural tactical guidance, by maintaining and meeting customer requirements in accordance with the client?s policies and guidelines. Must be able to analyze technical problems and define solution oriented approach in either a team oriented setting, or as an individual contributor.
Education and Experience:
· Ability to review and understand complex network design documentation
· Experience supporting large projects with phased targets
Duties will include:
· Receive connection request forms and review forms for accuracy and sufficiency prior to meetings
· Facilitate technical requirements meetings with business unit representatives as needed to clarify and validate connection request forms
· Participate in the Connection Review Board meeting
· Update existing network design and documentation based on new requirements for submission to the architecture team for approval and confirmation of compliance with security policies
· Coordinate and schedule the implementation of the new connections once approved
· Configure, monitor, test and modify the application and hardware as needed
· Coordinate and schedule testing and demonstrations. Provide real-time support during customer demonstrations
· Collection of the network/test data for analysis and review by the customer
Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:
o Ability to operate without supervision
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
o Ability to identify networking architecture issues or concerns
o Previous knowledge of Cisco Works and EMC Smarts helpful or experience with similar tools.
o Knowledge and experience with DMZ architecture and Proxy configurations
Duration: 2 Months
Must be able to complete both a Background Investigation as well as a Drug Test.
