Job Description: The Computer Merchant's entertainment industry/media publishing client is currently looking for a Web Designer for a long term position in NYC.
Position: Web Designer Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 months
The National Multimedia Designer will be responsible for producing excellent visual content, including interactive presentations, artwork and web-designs for the client's Local Integrated Media team in New York. This role combines strategic thinking with day-to-day execution and editorial and project-management responsibilities across a broad organization; it will require working with other designers, editors, developers and sales teams across the country.
Job responsibilities may include:
Heavy experience (5 years) designing innovative and compelling presentations for the web that will attract, engage and grow our audience's in local markets across the country. Create and spot interesting and newsworthy visual content that will intrigue and expand our audience. Ability to monitor and report on web site metrics daily. Requirements:
A minimum of five years (U.S.) experience working as a Multimedia Designer in a broadcasting industry. Strong experience (3-5 years) of emerging tools and trends in multimedia presentation An understanding of basic tools and practices in marketing and promotion Knowledge of audience engagement and an understanding of website metrics Experience with news operations, particularly in regard to video and photo production 5 years experience with the following production software tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sound-slides, Flex, HTML, Web Metrics, Content Management, and Web publishing. Very strong verbal communications. Extensive experience in taking a project from beginning to end as well as being able to work with editors in a very fast turnaround environment. Must have experience in working with content and moving / adding data for broadcasts to be aired in very short time frames. Work hours can be very hectic and must be able to work OT on minutes notice. Must have a can do attitude with nothing being a problem.
