SAP Functional Analyst ? Logistics Execution

POSITION SUMMARY:
Functional Systems Analyst specializing in SAP-LES (Logistics Execution) processes. This position will focus on the functional design and configuration of SAP to support a global ECC 5.0 deployment, with emphasis on finished goods distribution and manufacturing warehousing processes. Activities will include system configuration to support future deployments, development of functional specifications to support development of FRICE objects, coordination of testing activities, user training, defect resolution and level 2 user support. The position requires expert knowledge of SAP LES functionality and configuration experience in the following areas WM, MM-IM and SD-Delivery processing. The candidate should be very familiar with related order fulfillment and manufacturing execution concepts. Strong knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry in a batch managed environment is preferred. Experience with user exits, enhancement and custom development techniques, including the ability to develop functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developer/s through coding and testing is desired.
The SAP Functional Analyst works as a member of the SAP Solution Management Team in the Global Information Systems organization (GIS). This role partners with the SMI (Strategic Modernization Initiative) process teams and peers in SAP Solutions Management to develop and maintain the Logistics Execution solution. Initially it is expected that approximately 25% of time will be spent on support for live sites and approximately 75% on upcoming deployments. The position will support the continued roll-out of SAP to worldwide manufacturing and distribution locations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Participate in business process design and incorporate requirements of Estee Lauder business/geographies into a ?common SMI design? utilizing ?standard SAP? process models.
Apply expert functional knowledge of SAP to provide solutions for complex business requirements.
Perform analysis of gaps and propose solutions through functional design, process change or system enhancement.
Provide production support to live SAP sites as a ?level 2? business analyst. Evaluate production execution related issues escalated into the SAP Solution Management team. Propose and test configuration and data changes as necessary to resolve issues.
Help maintain consistency and integrity of the SAP configuration across Estee Lauder business/geographies.
Design and develop functional specifications for various development objects.
Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for system testing.
Review, develop and contribute to training content.
Train and support super users.
Support the local implementations of the global template, including the identification of the localization elements as requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience.
· Experienced in SAP Logistics Execution modules (including SAP Warehouse Management 4.7 or above, MM-IM, SD-Shipping, Transportation, Mobile applications using RF handhelds).
· Knowledge of Integration areas with Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning.
· Knowledge ASAP methodology and SAP implementation best practices, Minimum 2 full cycle implementations.
· Knowledge of SAP best practices and CPG template.
· Demonstrated capability to graphically document workflow, roles and responsibilities at a functional (system user) level in the area of Warehouse Management and Inventory Management etc.
· Demonstrated capability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
· Travel is required. Must be able to travel as needed to US sites, with occasional travel to European sites.
