Job Description:
Supply Chain Lead
Permanent position in Melville, NY
The ideal candidate must have experience in the consumer products industry.
This role will oversee the efforts of multiple supply chain data managers through data cleansing efforts. This global position is a cross organizational function and the individual must possess sound knowledge of both the technical and business side of the enterprise. Will work closely with supply chain managers and business data stewards to ensure the quality of the master data related to the supply chain throughout the system.
? Responsible for safeguarding ?data assets? for the supply chain and supporting the organization?s overall Master Data Governance vision.
? Monitor the supply chain department?s operational performance and support or direct the Management as required.
? Leads definition of polices and data standards related to supply chain data to ensure corporate standardization regarding security, quality, consistency and availability of data. Review above with Master Data Governance Lead to confirm the above support business needs.
? Work with Master Data Governance Lead to establish audit process and reporting standards to ensure policies and data standards related to Supply Chain are being followed across the organization and drive proposed corrective action as required. .
? Establish educational tools for Supply Chain data stewards to ensure understanding of polices and data standards and impact of non standard data.
? Review proposed data standard revisions related to the Supply Chain and present to Master Data Governance Lead for presentation to the appropriate business champions on data council. Provide details of proposed changes to the Master Data Governance Lead to support council decision.
? Leads the Supply Chain data cleansing effort to support roll out implementation plan. Ensure appropriate data availability to support testing, validation and integration testing.
? Coordinate Supply Chain data preparation efforts to support new acquisitions and/or brand disengagement.
? College degree preferably in Information systems/data management or equivalent experience.
? 5+ years experience with a broad depth and breadth of consumer products industry with emphasis on system applications ? prefer SAP.
? Experience working on an integrated systems implementation a plus.
? Strong Leadership and collaborative team skill set
? Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills required
? Willingness to travel globally up to 20% through organization deployment.
