Reference Number: 09-01502 Job Description: We are looking to hire a MAC consultant for about 4-5 weeks, possibly part time initially. The hiring manager is Cathy Rodrigues. Cathy and her Manager John Dick, Associate Director will be conducting the phone interviews. Qualifications: · 5 years of Lead Sys Admin experience · Experience in an academic environment a plus. · Ability to work independently and train if possible · Operating systems: OSX 10.4 and 10.5 · Understand OSX rights, users, permissions, and groups · OSX services: NetBoot Podcast Producer File sharing AD integration Open directory familiarity (for Apples and AD connectivity) Web services Print services Casper familiarity a plus The consultant will be responsible for the following: · Support of servers currently in CIS Casper server ? this is only a test at this point, there is a project proposal in to turn it into production. This is the server that updates the others Shadow keyserver User services file server 2 servers in Service and Repair for file services Support of 2 servers in the Language Resource Center running a variety of services Support of 2 servers in MultiMedia Lab ? used for imaging Building (and supporting) a new PodCast server for a project Support of servers all over campus with ?how to? calls (maybe 35 servers?) Inventory, Patch, and Document services for all of these servers. This would include an inventory of the hardware, OS level, Services running, admin information, server location. We would also like the consultant to do a ?knowledge transfer? with the group so we could continue support once they have gone.
