Job Description:
in a couple of years to NJ, and to TN.. MUST have BS degree in Accounting and 2-3 years WORK experience as a COST Accountant from a manufacturing company..

Here's the req:
Position Summary: Responsible for accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate accounting policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Preparation and analysis of monthly financial variances complete balance sheet reconciliation.
? Prepare annual direct labor and material cost budgets.
? Maintain standard labor and overhead rates for each product line that most accurately allocate labor and overhead costs to ending inventory and cost of sales.
? Consolidation of quarterly budget/estimate reviews.
? Back-up accounts payable, review and sign checks, and prepare weekly cash management reports.
? Maintain General Ledger.
? Perform variance analysis and prepare subsequent reports.
? Prepare monthly reports and distribute to appropriate departments.
? Perform product-costing, valuation of physical inventory and variance analysis on a monthly basis.
? Maintain weekly cost updates.

Education/Experience:
BA in Accounting
Lotus 123/Excel spreadsheet proficiency, Microsoft Office
5+ years related accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
