Epidemiology contractor / analyst will:
Perform SAS programming and analysis for epidemiologic studies using large electronic databases.
S/he will assist project epidemiologists and therapeutic are heads in developing analysis plan and summarizing and synthesize results into reports and publications.
S/he will also assess technical feasibility of database studies and required resource and timelines.
The epidemiology analyst will conduct review of existing data, including literature review, for the purpose of developing study concepts
Estimates patient population sizes, patient population characteristics, and incidence and prevalence of significant medical events.
S/he will create, modify and execute plans to validate database studies as necessary, and will document steps taken in accordance with standard procedures.

Requirements: A PhD/MPh degree in epidemiology (or its equivalent), or a combination of education and minimum of 2 years of experience assisting in the design, conduct and evaluation of epidemiology studies, preferably using large automated databases is required. Required to have at least 2 year programming experience, preferably with SAS, and general understanding of large medical claims databases.
