Job Description:
Our major pharmaceutical client is looking for an Entry Level Systems Analyst ? Business Applications for a 6+ month position in East Hanover, NJ.
**The most important attributes for the candidate are:
Experience of/with Oracle Databases
Exposure to Clinical Data
Knowledge of SQL*Plus and/or PL/SQL
**Since this is an entry level position, even graduates from college may be a fit for this type of position. **
To provide support for EDC (electronic data capture) based clinical trials by creating ad hoc or bolt-on programs, designing Graphical User Interface (GUI) to meet specific needs of users. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs. Improves associated systems and tools to meet project timelines.
Under general supervision creates, maintains and enhances standard study management reporting systems and toolsets for project and trial-specific study management report programming.
Provides routine education, consulting and technical support services to EDM (electronic data management) staff in eCRF design, clinical database setup, data management processes, standard study management reporting programs and the report programming environment, as appropriate.
Develops and maintains relevant documentation.
Contributes to process improvement teams in areas such as clinical database management and reporting interfaces to central laboratories and other data providers, electronic data capture and electronic submission processes workflow technologies.
Consults with internal business partners to determine needs and develop specifications for new or improved processes and systems.
Assures compliance with regulatory guidelines, may represent the company in inspections, audits and reviews related to systems used in regulatory submissions.
5Under general supervision works with internal groups to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity, and consults with system users.
3Specific Requirements: Mid-level understanding of Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL), SQL database conversion, export, reporting tools and knowledge of EDC applications ? online and offline electronic data collection systems.

Professional Experience:
-Education: B.S. degree in Life Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Medical Informatics or equivalent; Advanced degree a plus
- Minimum one year of pharmaceutical industry clinical development experience in clinical data management, clinical programming and/or preparation of regulatory submissions. Excellent communication, documentation, planning, organizational analysis and problem solving skills.
