Job Description:
A leading engineering client of ours seeking to hire for 6months, Chemist (level II) for their Carlsbad, CA facility.

Job Description:

This position entails synthesizing, purifying and analyzing organic ligand molecules and their metal complexes for use in the semiconductor industry.

- Candidate must hold a BSc or MSc in chemistry with a minimum of 4 yrs of experience working as a synthetic organic/organometallic chemist.
- Must have experience with the typical synthesis techniques of distillation, sublimation, recrystallization and familiarity with using GC and GCMS.
- Candidate must also have experience with performing syntheses under inert atmosphere atmospheres using Schlenk line techniques;
- Familiarity with using an inert atmosphere glove box and safely handing organometallic reagents such as n-butyl lithium, Grignard reagent etc.
-Candidate will work under the supervision of a senior chemist but will need to develop the ability to work semi autonomously to interface and cooperate with other technical members of the R&D group.
