Job Description:
Looking for a Sr Hl7 DICOM interface analyst with 7 to 10 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
* Manage key and complex HL7/DICOM interface deployment for client customers, including obtaining customer use cases and requirements, creating implementation project plans, and managing implementations and testing. Manage cross-functional teams and work with the customer to complete the implementations. Measure and meet implementation project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of on-time, on-quality, on-cost, and on-requirements.
* Define, create, and validate HL7 data mappers.
* Constantly remain current on HL7 and DICOM standards and industry best practices. Develop processes and work instructions on implementing these by the rest of client, as well as propose product improvement ideas.
* Create functional specifications and documentation of product features in the area of interfaces for software IT products.
* Create presentations, training materials, user guides, and other relevant documentation.
* Lead the coordination of system troubleshooting activities as it relates to the HL7 and DICOM interfaces and gateways. Identify application issues and lead the correction of these issues through application design changes, configuration changes, or implementation process changes. For assigned defects, provide accurate root-cause analysis, identify solutions, and provide accurate impact analysis.
* Coordinate activities within the team so that all resources are deployed in the most effective manner and the needs of internal and external stakeholders are met. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Work within a geographically distributed team environment including managing teams assigned to this activity.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
* A minimum of 6 years of experience in Healthcare IT, including a minimum of 4 years of experience with hospital interfaces is highly preferred.
* Excellent knowledge and experience with HL7 and/or DICOM standards is required.
* Good knowledge of other EMR systems and PACS systems, especially regarding how to interface to them is essential.
* Must have an understanding of HL7 troubleshooting techniques and mapping methodologies.
* Experience with interface engine based HL7 messaging is necessary.
* Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing customer IT implementation projects is essential.
* Development experience, including Java related technologies and tools such as JDK, J2EE (servlet, JavaBeans, JSP), Ant, Eclipse, etc. is preferred.
* Knowledge of SQL, scripting and XML is strongly desired.
* Good knowledge of database design is vital.
* Must be highly process oriented with a good understanding of system/software development life cycles/methodologies.
* The ability to reduce an overwhelming amount of information into a few salient issues to focus on is necessary. Should be highly driven with the ability to prioritize critical tasks.
* Must be a self starter with the initiative to follow through on programs/projects and work with all levels of users, as well as have the ability to coordinate efforts both inside and outside of the Group.
* A demonstrated ability to lead teams in successfully completing programs/projects, while also serving as a key individual technical contributor is vital.
* Must place great value on continuous learning and building knowledge of software/IT technologies
* Very effective oral and written communication skills are essential.
* Must believes in her/his ability to successfully take on new and difficult challenges, question the status quo, and take risks.
