Job Description:
SR Java Architect needed to Design enterprise Web applications Responsible for functional and technical designs of cross-platform applications & services. Perform Business Analysis and Requirement Analysis with the end users. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle software development environment. Must have strong initiative and drive and must be a self starter. Experinece with HL7 DICOM and/Or Medical IT would be definate plus
Major Duties
* Architect enterprise applications using Agile methodology. This includes creating Detailed Design using UML, Process Flows, Sequence Diagrams, and some times pseudo-code level details.
* Create designs involving XML/Web-Services that integrate various distributed applications.
* Perform Business Analysis and Requirement Analysis with the help of end-user to enhance existing product
* Develop prototype and architecture for new concepts and technology that would eventually be used by the Development teams.
* Develop Functional designs including Use Cases while interacting with Business Partners as well as End Customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Masters/PHD Preferred
Skills and Experience
* 10+ yrs experience in Software Development with 4+ yrs. experience as an architect/designer.
* 4+ years experience using Enterprise Architect or Rational or Other Modeling tools.
* 7+ years experience coding J2EE Applications.
* 2+ yrs experience in Business Analysis and Requirement Analysis, as well as demonstrated ability to solve end customers problems.
* Experience designing and developing web applications using MVC Framework
* Full life-cycle development in an enterprise development environment. Product development experience is highly preferred
* Very strong background in object-oriented architectures and proven experience in using design patterns to architect software systems. Excellent knowledge of UML required.
* Expertise with service oriented architectures and Ingres/oracle database system.
* Experience with automated testing systems. Experience with various configuration management systems such as source-safe, Clearcase, etc.
* Experience with other software workflow tools.
* Knowledge of imaging systems (preferably medical imaging), Exp with Hl7 DICOM preferred. Experience database systems, networking and hardware is desired.
