Job Description:
Looking for a Sr Java Developer with 8+ Years of experience in IT. Previous Experience working with Healthcare companies/Pharmaceutical/Medical IT Software Development companies is a must. Knowledge with Medical IT / Imaging /DICOM/HL7/IHE is desired
Skills Required
* Must be highly process oriented and must have a strong background in various system/software development life cycles/methodologies.
* Very strong background in object-oriented architectures and proven experience in using design patterns to architect software systems. Excellent knowledge of UML required
* Bachelors degree in computer science or electrical engineering. Masters/Ph.D degree is highly preferred.
* Ability to reduce an overwhelming amount of information into a few salient issues to focus on. The ability to prioritize the most relevant from all other issues.
* Must be a self starter with the initiative to follow through on programs/projects and work with all levels of users as well as have the ability to coordinate efforts both inside and outside of the division.
Technical Skills
Application design tools/framework - Struts, Ant, Eclipse, etc..
Web and application servers ? Jboss, Weblogic, Tomcat and Apache.
XML technologies XML, Schemas, SAX, DOM, XSLT, Xquery, XMLBeans, JDOM, XHTML.
Java technologies JDK, J2EE (Servlet, JavaBeans, JSP, etc.).
* Experience with service oriented architectures and Ingres/oracle database system is desired.
* Experience with automated testing systems. Experience with various configuration management systems such as source-safe, clearcase, etc.. Experience with other software workflow tools.
Other Skills
* Knowledge of imaging systems (preferably medical imaging), database systems, networking and hardware is desired.
* Medical device/Healthcare software industry experience is highly desired.
