Job Description:
Our client is currently starting to look for someone to evaluate e-billing products in a proof of concept with clearly defined criteria for measuring success.
In addition to e-billing would like to evaluate alternatives to upgrading the existing matter management system for Law.
Our client is evaluating alternatives to current system used for legal e-billing and spend management.
Some of the factors driving a replacement of the current system include:
- Lack of features & functionality in the current system that are critical to enhanced legal spend management
- Need for increased collaboration with law firms and vendors with respect to e-billing and matter management
- Need for more efficient invoice audit/review
- Need to have all Law billing submitted electronically to the client in a way that makes all data from invoices reportable and actionable
******Experience with CounselLink (from LexisNexis) and AIMS (from Datacert) is highly desired******
Skills for Consultant to have:
- Expertise in legal spend management and insight into what other large enterprises/companies are doing in this space
- Knowledge of software tools in the e-billing/matter management market place and their strengths and capabilities of each tool/vendor with respect to legal spend management, matter management, and collaboration with outside counsel
- Provide assistance in developing the approach for the proof of concept including the criteria for measuring success against clearly defined objectives
- Understand and document the needs of the General Counsel?s office, legal finance and IT into system requirements and assist in the creation of an RFP for the evaluation of matter management / e-billing vendors
- Provide a range of alternative approaches and approximate costs of those alternatives
- The estimated time-frame for this project/effort is 4-6 weeks
