Job Description:
Our major pharmaceutical client is looking for a Portal Content Specialist for a 6+ month position in East Hanover, NJ.
**Client is NOT looking for Web expert or technical person whatsoever. Manager would consider CRA/Clinical Coordinator working with members of the clinical team to help gather data to update and improve the websites used by the Clinical Trial Team. **
This role coordinates the creation and maintenance of Investigator Portals (websites) used by Clinical Trial Teams and Investigational Site Personnel. The Portal Content Specialist works with the Clinical Trial Team to ensure timely creation of Investigator Portals and ongoing content management.
Point person for creation and maintenance of the Investigator Portals for Primary Care and Mature Product Franchises, Oncology, Transplant and Ophthalmic Business Units
? Present the Investigator Portal to the Clinical Trial Team and initiate set-up of the portal
? Collect content and user information for each Investigator Portal
? Suggest content categories and content to be included on the Investigator Portal
? Train Clinical Trial Team on using the portal, including the effective usage of the messaging system and Key Contacts
? Assist Clinical Trial Leader on efficient use of the portal as the major communication tool for the trial
? Provide tracking logs to Clinical Trial Leader upon request
? Support Clinical Trial Team in updating the content of the portal and stimulate usage
? Provide Clinical Trial Leader with information about updates, news etc
? Ensure all content is up to date, outdated information is deleted, directory structures are up to date, links and images are functional, report/fix outdated content, links, images, and general functionality, site user lists are up to date and accurate
? Assist in the development and conduct training sessions as requested/needed (ie, lunch & learn sessions, ICRO Partner Day)
? Assist in development of training materials and meeting presentations
? Provide user feedback and ideas for enhancements to Portal Content Manager and Global Head, Portal Management
KPI:
? Satisfaction of the Clinical Trial Teams
? Number of new Investigator Portals
? Quality of content posted on Investigator Portals
? Results from semi-annual survey of Investigator Portal users
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree req
? Background in Clinical Research and strong working knowledge of drug development principles and practices
? Familiarity with web technologies, information management and content management systems desirable - ALTHOUGH WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTUALLY UPDATING THE WEBSITE ITSELF - MERELY INITIATING THE UPDATE BY PROVIDING KEY INFORMATION
? Possess good editorial judgment and writing skills
? Possesses a global understanding and perspective, experiences in working with global teams
? Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, oral/written and communication skills. Fluent English language capabilities required.
? Commitment to support a fundamental business service
? Work with supervision in a matrix/team-based environment
? Ability to work effectively both independently and with teams, demonstrate a pro-active working attitude.
