Job Description: Our major pharmaceutical client is looking for a Staffing Manager for a 1 YEAR position in Florham Park, NJ.
**This role will actually be in Development Oncology. Candidates should have a background with full life cycle recruitment within Research and/or Development. They should have recruited for PhD's and/or MD's. **
Position Description: To search for, select and hire new employees with a focus on senior executives to strengthen Novartis? capability to implement current and future business strategies: Sourcing: ? To support senior line managers on appropriate recruitment tools and agree with senior management & HR Manager on tailored recruitment strategy, closely collaborates with selected executive search companies and use internal search capability as well as personal network to source top talents. Selection: ? To screen identified candidates, select a shortlist and forward to senior line management & HR Generalist, applying the most appropriate selection approach. Hiring: ? To ensure availability and sending of complete contract, discuss and agree remuneration package with senior management, provide rejected detailed feedback to internal candidates who do not meet the role profile as input for their next development plan. ? To be a strategic player in the implementation of the TMS systems for recruitment purposes and for creating a succession plan within Global Marketing. ? To facilitate best practise staffing process within your assigned function. ? To manage a dedicated staffing team. ? To establish close relationships to leading executive search agencies at a global level to get first hand access to top candidates. ? To benchmark existing processes and looks externally for best practices to import them into the staffing centre. ? To support projects to develop and implement new recruitment/ assessment tools. ? To respond to business needs and proactively identify innovative ways of candidate sourcing and selection.. ? To demonstrate compliance with employment laws/ regulations as well as with company?s hiring policy. ? To actively contribute to the global HR network and support exchange of best practices in recruitment. ? To support development of and execution of Global Talent Exchange process ? To support the development and implementation of talent strategy resulting from gap analysis conducted in OTR ? To facilitate the movement of top marketing talent throughout Novartis ? To drive the development and implementation of the long term talent strategy in the commercial organizations in partnership with global HR Head
? Annual target points per hire based on Functional level ? Targeted time to hire is 12 weeks (including contract signature) ? Increase internal hiring?s to 30% ? Increase number of hires through direct sourcing (i.e. excluding third party involvement except internet) up to 40%. ? Cost per hire for externally sourced candidates ? Average Cost per hire to include advertising (print & web), referral fees, search firms fees. ? Quality of Hire ? Ensure at least 100% satisfactory hiring experience from hiring managers on performance of new hire (after 6 months from first working day). ? Candidate Experience ? Ensure a 100% satisfactory hiring and on-boarding experience from the new associate ('GO' feedback after 6 months from first working day). ? Staffing Customer Satisfaction
Requirements: ? University degree in social sciences, business degree or professional HR qualification ? 3-5 years business experience in a commercial environment
