Job Description: Our major pharmaceutical client is looking for a Transportation/Distribution and Inventory Manager for a 6+ month position in Parsipanny, NJ
Manage the activities of the Distribution / Transportation and Inventory Management functions supporting OTC NA Product Supply. Responsibilities will include gathering data, providing analysis, preparing reports, making recommendations and preparing budgets. The manager will also lead improvement initiatives and partner closely with other departments in implementing changes. This will be accomplished while assuring compliance with internal procedures as well as controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). Finance and Operations ? Develop and track KPI?s as it relates to Distribution and Transportation and report monthly. ? Partner with Distribution / Transportation and Inventory Management functions to provide proper financial insight for day to day operation as well as future business changes/enhancements. ? Manage Cost Center Budgets of Distribution / Transportation and Inventory Management functions for Target, Latest Estimates (LE?s) and Actuals. ? Manage month-end financial close as it relates to Distribution / Transportation and Inventory, ensuring necessary entries are recorded. ? Reconciling inventory reserves and establishing metrics to expose trends and mitigate any potential inventory risks and provide management with corrective action plans particularly as it relates to current short dated and future expiring inventory. ? Partner with Sales and Sales Finance on Closeout opportunities relating to short dated Inventory. ? Represent Finance as it relates to all projects, i.e. SAP enhancements , SOX, internal/ external audit requests, etc. ? Establish Transfer Pricing for all products sold out of the US Legal Entity to affiliates. ? Provide data and input for internal/external audit and tax requests. Ensure proper interpretation. ? Manage the development, preparation, analysis, and distribution of monthly inventory information to PSM and Finance ? Develop/Revise necessary SOX procedures and controls as it relates to Inventory and monitor to ensure compliance. ? Perform regular internal SOX testing as required ? Ensure LIFO Book Calculations are performed and reported in accordance with Corporate and Statutory deadlines. ? Continue to look for process improvements/enhancements.
Requirements - BS Degree required -7+ years Finance and/or Accounting experience. -Strong knowledge of Excel, Word and PPT - A MUST -Knowledge of SAP a plus -Travel 5-10% -Looking for experience with cost of goods, distribution, supply chain (not marketing focused) -Experience with reporting -Excellent communication skills - both oral and written -Able to work independently 7+ years of experience preferred; but, at least, 5+ is a must Day-to-day work includes monthly reporting, month-end close, supporting transportation/distribution, monthly forecasting, writing reports Excellent analysis, communication and interpersonal skills Proven change-agent exhibiting strong innovation, self-starter and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of SAP (FI,PCA, CO-PC,) a plus.
