Job Description:
Our major biotech client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer for a 10 month position in Longmont, CO.
The Maintenance Engineer will perform maintenance support activities for existing equipment to update the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Primary duties include:
? Develop spare parts lists for existing equipment and add to the CMMS. Research existing Operations and Maintenance manuals to determine which spares need to be created and stocked on-site.
? Obtain equipment description and name plate data and add to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
? Provide technical expertise to define and implement equipment maintenance strategies while optimizing cost, compliance, and effectiveness.
Secondary duties include:
? Develop preventive maintenance strategy and instructions and implement in the CCMS.
? Ensure maintenance instructions are accurate, effective and support compliance with applicable regulations.
? Other maintenance support activities required to facilitate addition of new and modified equipment to the maintenance program.
Requirements:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or related technical field or at least 2 years completed toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Strong mechanical expertise is a must.
? Knowledge and experience with operation and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
? Knowledge and experience with fluid transfer systems including valves, pumps, piping and pressure vessels.
? Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience utilizing a computerized maintenance management system. Experience with Maximo preferred.
? Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with minimum direction.
? Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
