THERE ARE 8 POSITIONS WITH THE HIRING MANAGER. Prefer Local Candidates
To work as a PC Technician with detailed understanding of PC hardware and components to work on the IT Consolidation Project.
The selected candidate will work in several different challenging environments. The task will include delivery, installation, configuration, break/fix, move/add/change, technical support, and retirement of user-related hardware and software. The majority of these users will be located at distributed sites throughout the state and will be responsible for performing a variety of consolidation activities to defined geographical segments of users. The candidate will also work with all levels of clients and all aspects of PCs; Windows 9x/2000/XP, Active Directory, LANs, printers and operating systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting PC physical inventory
2. Setting up and installing new PC based equipment
3. Workstation setup and configuration using Windows based applications
4. Data migration, documentation
5. Installing and configuring software
6. Establish network connectivity and configure printers
Required:
? High school education or equivalent, (Two (2) years related experience in PC installation/repair, networking skills and completion of a technical training program and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
? Excellent organizational and time management skills.
? Strong customer service skills
? Ability to work independently.
? Good technical knowledge
? Strong customer service orientation.
Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and will be required to carry a cell phone.
Frequent statewide travel (including overnight travel) will be required
Preferred:
? Hardware manufacturer (Dell, Gateway, HP, IBM), A+ certifications
? Windows, LAN, MS Office, software installation experience
