Description:
Our client is looking for 6 contractors to:
? Configure, install, and provide end user support to replace desktop PCs in 88 local offices throughout the state
? Configure, install, and troubleshoot desktop PC installations of McAfee Endpoint Encryption throughout the state.
The scope of the work involves travel to 88 offices and includes a two-phase approach. PC installations will be completed prior to the installation of encryption and updated software to the agency PC image.
Phase 1: Install PCs with Client?s staff user image, including Microsoft Windows XP SP3 operating system, Microsoft Office 2007, Attachmate Extra 3270 emulation software, and Mozilla Thunderbird mail client.
Phase 2: McAfee Endpoint Encryption will be installed on all desktop computers. After replacement PCs have been installed and each site has had time to adapt to new software, contractor teams will be deployed to field sites to encrypt laptops. Contractor staff will be required to remain on site to assist with full encryption of all target PCs and assist users with the operation of encryption software.
Phase One at the smaller sites can be completed by 2 desktop support technicians in 2 days. Phase One at the largest sites may require 4-5 desktop support technicians for 3 days.
All contractor teams will be accompanied by an IT Support Analyst (employee). The contractor team will be provided with PC software builds (images), hard drive duplicators, and ancillary equipment (printer cables, Ethernet cables, disk drives) necessary to complete work efficiently. Contractor teams will be required to transport PCs and monitors from Raleigh to each site and to return replaced equipment from the site to Raleigh.
Required:
? Minimum of 2 years experience supporting the Windows XP operating system, Novell Netware client v.4.9, and Windows Office 2007.
? Minimum of 2 years experience with the desktop client operation of Trend Micro Office Scan anti-virus software.
? Demonstrated thorough knowledge of TCP/IP networking for client systems including DHCP, DNS, and Novell NDPS print services.
? Minimum of 1 year of experience with installation of AntiVirus - Preferably McAfee Endpoint Encryption (formerly Safeboot).
? Strong consulting and customer service skills and experience
? Customer focused and supportive of network users
