Job Description:
Major Fortune 10 client is looking for a Operations Analyst - Mortgage Loan Servicing for a 6+ month position which could go fulltime in Houston TX
Individual will be responsible for a series of functions relating to the daily reconciliation of the Strategy Loan Servicing system and the cash movement to the respective Custodial and Operating accounts
Qualifications:
* Well-developed understanding of the Loan Servicing Industry with a special emphasis on the flow of cash and an ability to gain an understanding of the requirements of each respective Partner.
* Must be organized, efficient and capable of handling and prioritizing numerous assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented and a demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.
* Completion of the daily system reconciliation of cash activity and preparation of wire transfers to the respective investor custodial accounts.
* Completion of the daily reconciliation of Business? Payment Clearing and Depository accounts.
* Clearance of all designated outstanding bank reconciling items in accordance with company?s policies and procedures.
* Assist in research and clearance of Client?s general ledger exception items.
* Serve as initial contact for off shore bank reconciliation team inquiries.
* Support all external and internal audit requests.
* Special project as assigned by Management.
* B.S. in Accounting, Finance, other business related curriculum required
* Minimum five years experience with mortgage loan servicing
* Proficient in common Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Experience using Excel at an intermediate level. Must have a basic understanding of pivot tables, using functions, writing formulas and macros.
* Working knowledge of the McCracken Strategy loan servicing software ? Required
