Job Description
?X Supervise a group of 8 people providing method development and routine assay support for the process development of bioprocess-derived API, including proteins, enzymes, monoclonal antibodies, or nucleic acids.
?X Collaborate with process development scientists in meeting project analytical needs and achieving project milestones.
?X Apply select analytical techniques and instrumentation for the identification and quantification of large and small molecule analytes.

Techniques may include:
o HPLC
o Capillary Electrophoresis (CE)
o Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, IEF)
o Immunoassay
o Peptide Mapping
o DNA analysis (qPCR and Threshold)
?X Review data analysis and documentation of experimental results.
?X Coordinate laboratory operations.

Requirements
?X MS, or PhD in chemistry or biochemistry
?X Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience with instrumental analysis in an analytical chemistry laboratory

Desired:
Technical skills and knowledge:
Good understanding and basic knowledge of fundamental chemical concepts
Good understanding and practical skills in modern analytical techniques, especially HPLC, and their applications
Evidence of ability to identify and solve problems, making decisions from limited alternatives
Understanding of GLP/GMP and safety
