Job Description:
Major fortune 500 client of ours is looking for a Business Analyst at their Eden Prairie, MN location.
Role Summary
-Translates and prioritizes requirements for assigned area project and maintenance work.
-Responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications.
-Influences the business to determine which business requirements should be automated and how they can be integrated with other business and technical processes.
-Responsible for completing documentation on existing applications by working with Technical Leads on understanding the application and translating into Use Cases.
-This role will also provide mentoring and training to BA?s on use case creation, usage and management.
Essential Responsibilities
-Translate existing applications into use cases
-Prepare and create testable use cases and functional test cases
-Provide mentoring on creation, usage and management of use cases.
-Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for development or application evaluation and develops process designs to support business solutions and clarify business requirements.
-Participates in transitioning the requirements and ensures a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
-Designs and executes integrated (business, functional and technical) test planning, identifying and defining application requirements.
-Acts as liaison between business area and application/change management area throughout deployment and serves as a subject matter expert on business processes and data flow.
-Consults with the business on process excellence, data flow, and system functionality to drive process excellence and deliver value added solutions.
Desired Characteristics
-Bachelor's degree in the field of IT preferred
-Ability to read SQL, JAVA and C++ helpful
-Possesses business analysis, planning and system implementation skills.
-Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence clients, team members and management.
-Understanding of Risk function and applications.
