Job Description:
********** This is a Contract to Hire Position (Temp-to-Perm)********

Major Client is looking for a Bilingual (French and English) Technical Support Specialist for their Gaithersburg, MD location.

Job Responsibilities:

-The Technical Support Specialist (TSS) represents the client?s first point of contact to all callers. -A TSS is responsible for providing technical support to customers via the telephone and/or electronic format.
-A TSS is responsible for solving moderately complex issues regarding functionality and usage of Clients products.
-A TSS must possess capable analysis & troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues and communicate with customers within the client?s product offering and the environments they operate.
-Effective communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
-A TSS is expected approach their work in a detail-oriented, well-organized fashion and to further develops a thorough knowledge of client?s products and understanding of standard and customer-specific EDI business processes.

Required skills:
- Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or related field is preferred; prior helpdesk technical support experience will also be considered.
- Three to five years of demonstrated success performing the responsibilities listed for this role.
- Working knowledge of protocols (FTP, SFTP)
- Financial services, manufacturing, or retail industry experience preferred.
- Technical customer support experience with e-commerce, B2B services, and/or EDI desired
- Deliver exceptional service to our customers.
- Flexibility in work schedule including rotating, on-call support activities that may at times, involve weekends and holidays.
- Three to five years of demonstrated success performing the responsibilities listed for this role as well as technical experience with commercial software such as Microsoft Office suite; excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Siebel experience is a plus.
