Description for J2EE / Java Developer
Our client, a global financial institution, has an immediate need to fill a Java / J2EE development position. The position entails creating new functionality for front office trading applications and developing a web-based presentation layer that will output the data in a clean format. The candidate must be equally proficient developing Java web UI (Swing, Struts, MVC, etc.) and backend Java. Prior financial industry knowledge and expert financial product knowledge (fixed income, equities, derivatives, muni bonds etc.) is required as well. Experience with Oracle 9i or 10g is a must.
Duration: 12+ month long contract position with the possibility of extension.
Pay: Up to $80/h

Requirements for J2EE / Java Developer:
- 8+ years Java / J2EE development
- Oracle 10g (PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers)
-Full SDLC experience (requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing etc.)
- ***Experience developing front office trading systems
-Financial product knowledge (fixed income, equities, derivatives, muni bonds, etc.)
Preferred:
- Spring MVC
- Struts
- C++ development background
