Job Description:
Systems Engineer (1 opening):
This Prototype Development Support (PDS) TTO will support the Mission Service Bus (MSB) initiative. The MSB project involves architecting and deploying application/data integration systems across a wide enterprise.
Task Description/Responsibilities:
MSB, an enterprise integration, business process and workflow project needs a Systems Engineer who will participate in architecture and system/software development activities that include specification and development of technical interfaces and design architectures. Responsibilities include:
· Participate in architecture development activities that may include:
o Specification and documentation of technical interfaces
o Writing and translating requirements into specifications
· UML Modeling
· Support development of the following documents:
o System/Subsystem Specification (SSS)
o System/Subsystem Design Description (SSDD)
o Interface Design Description (IDD)
o Interface Control Document (ICD)
o Test and Evaluation Plans and Procedures
General Experience:
The candidate shall be skilled in programming in C, Bourne, TclTk and SQL. Knowledge of how C++, Perl and JAVA work is required. The Candidate shall have 8 years of credible general experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline, with at least 5 years of credible experience in planning, designing, and analyzing processing and storage retrieval systems on mid-to-large scale, e.g. ONEROOF ? PINWALE, integration programs. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 9 to 13 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Specific Requirements:
· Knowledge of systems engineering processes
· Familiarity with data sources, SIGINT processing and supporting systems
· UML Modeling
· Significant experience with the software development process and the documents associated with that process
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
· MUST be able to work independently and within tight deadlines
