Requirements:
-- Must be a U.S.Citizen fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English, Pashto. Mist be Native Speaker

-- Must be willing to travel overseas to Afghanistan
Duties:
--Provide operational contract linguist support to U.S. Army operations in Afghanistan
-- Provide general linguistic support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences
-- Interpret and translate written and spoken communications
-- Transcribe and analyze communications
-- Perform document exploitation
-- Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information
-- Translate foreign language documents
-- Identify and extract information components meeting military information requirements
-- Provide input to reports

Salary $ 170-180k Base - The factors that could influence this are: Work location (hi or low threat area), Assignment and Clearance level (CAT I, II or III)
Pashto and Dari or Pashto and Urdu Linguist US Citizen or Secret Clearance or Above Proficient English and Pashto amd other Afghan languaged to work in Afghanistan with the Military overseas.
We work with the DOD, intelligence agencies, and many other government customers. We are currently looking for Pashto Linguist to work with other linguist and military personnel at an overseas location. You will be a full-time employee. As expected, the variety of jobs using your ability to translate between Pashto/Dari and English ranges greatly. You will provide general linguistic support for military operations. You will interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences. You will interpret between local citizens and soldiers, transcribe and analyze verbal communications and perform document translation. (a) Minimum required: 3/3 Proficient in speaking, reading and writing Pashto & English as you will spend most of your time interpreting between the two languages. U.S. Citizen. All applicants will undergo background investigation, oral and written skills language examination, medical examination and counter-intelligence screening as conditions of employment on this contract.
