Job Description: Production support of PeopleSoft Commitment Accounting module in HR. The role would also involve some help of operations within the payroll department. Detailed role description is below, but most importantly is having commitment accounting and payroll experience.
3-4 month assignment in Payroll requiring PeopleSoft commitment accounting experience, in addition to two years of accounting experience. Responsibilities: ? Reporting to the Executive Director - Payroll, the Analyst is responsible for matters related to Labor Accounting within the Payroll division. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: monitors all department payroll suspense accounts and facilitates communication with various University departments to clear these items; processes entries through the Labor Distribution System to ensure that the various departments salary expense is accurately allocated in accordance with University policy; visits with schools and departments on a weekly basis. ? Reviews the payroll output to ensure that the appropriate earnings are paid during each payroll run and accurately passed to the Labor System; investigates and takes corrective action when needed. ? Assists other managers in the payroll division and CUIT with systems enhancements on an as-needed basis; assists the payroll accounting group with their account reconciliations; processes Salary Accounting Forms (SAF?s), Special Cost Corrections (SCC?s), Payroll Account Transfer forms (PAT?s), cost transfers, Salary Distributions, System enhancements, functional testing as needed. ? Performs research for audits, analysis and prepares spreadsheets. Acts as back-up to prepare monthly suspense reports for senior management. Responsible for distribution and archiving of payroll reports; develops analytical reports, as required; performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting and/or its equivalent required. A minimum of two years? accounting and People Soft Commitment Accounting/Labor Accounting experience required. ? Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and organized work habits. Must possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills. ? Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and database software, required. ? Must be able to identify priorities with within multiple assignments in a high-pressured, short-deadline environment and be able to work with diplomacy and efficiency in such an environment. Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. ? In addition, the successful candidate must be able to work well with all levels of employees, be flexible in nature, have sound judgment with an open and collaborative style that encourages teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization.
