Job Description:
Senior Oracle DBA w/th RAC/ASM and Finance/Banking experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Senior Oracle DBA with at least 5+ years of experience supporting/maintaining large production databases
Experience with data replication tools such as Oracle streams in 10g/11g, Quest Shareplex
Experience with setup/administration/tuning/maintenance of Oracle Real Application clustering RAC using 10g/11g on Solaris platform. ASM storage experience preferred.
Oracle development including extensive programming in Java, PL/SQL, and stored procedures
Moderate to extensive experience in database performance tuning
Experience in installation/configuration/administration of Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g databases
Experience dealing with data migration among Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g databases
Moderate to strong scripting skills in writing SQL and PL/SQL involving in tuning complex queries for better performance
Proficiency with UNIX systems (Solaris and Linux), Shell scripting, PERL scripting
Experienced in setting up high volume OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) databases, High Availablility (HA) Solutions such as Data Guard and advanced replication solutions such as Streams
Strong communication and documentation skills (trouble-shooting often involves working on conference calls, requiring candidates to be both articulate and able to multi-task)
Experience in production support of high-availability environments preferably from a financial institution
Team player, very eager to learn and work in fast-paced, hands on, enterprise-wide production support environment.
Experience in using Recovery Manager (RMAN), Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Grid Control, and Shadow Copy Image backup
Experience in using and trouble-shooting storage area network (SAN) issues.
