Job Description:
Company is a leading manufacturer of industrial / oilfield products. They are seeking a dynamic Design / Mechanical Engineer to jump start the design and certification of the new plug valve and swing check valve product line.
Candidate will report to the engineering manager. Relocation assistance will be available for the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed design for new plug valve and check valve product lines
- Suggest improvements and enhancements to the company's equipment design/methodologies
- Assist production personal to interpret drawings and help solve manufacturing problems
- Manage valve project
- Assist/manage the valve design approval process
- Maintain design files
Experience Level:
5+ Years
Requirements:
Requirements
- Design / Mechanical Engineering degree BSME or similar
o 20 years of experience in valve design may be substituted for a degree
- 5+ years experience in oilfield design engineering within an manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of industry standards such as API 6A, 16C, 5B, DNV 101, BPV sec 8
- Experience based knowledge of Solid Works, Math cad, Cad Key,
- Project management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and comprehension skills in English
- Ability to interact efficiently with others on collaborative engineering work, as well as work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent writing skills in process and engineering specification
- Experience with Algor FEA a plus
- Design and specification of Plug valves a plus
- Mechanical / machine design and detailing a plus
