Job Description: Maintenance Superintendent for London, Ontario The qualified candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, either Electrical or Mechanical, 10 years of maintenance experience and 3 to 5 years senior supervisory experience. You must be a highly motivated, energetic team player who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and be proficient in Microsoft applications, knowledgeable in the use of CMMS systems and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position reports to the Mine Operations Manager and is responsible for all onsite maintenance including budgeting. The incumbent is accountable for the execution of the annual plan as it relates to fixed and mobile equipment which includes but is not limited to: three hoisting plants, 200+ pieces of mobile equipment, 7kms+ of conveyors, three crushers, an underground mill and vessel loading facilities. The position also takes a leadership role in developing and maintaining the long term strategy for the assets aimed at maximizing availability/reliability at industry leading unit costs; as well as development and implementation of a Maintenance Excellence or Asset Management process.
The Maintenance Superintendent must demonstrate leadership for the maintenance department by ensuring safe work, establishing high standards and optimizing productivity. The position is supported by two general foreman, eight front line supervisors and 100+ unionized employees.
