Job Description: Stelex, a GE Company, provides a full range of Consulting, Development, Validation and Auditing Services to the regulated industries including pharmaceuticals, medical device and diagnostics.
The Technical Lead of Information Security is responsible for the tactical implementation and monitoring of the global information security program to ensure the protection of business critical information in order to securely enable the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT functions regarding all aspects of global information security. 2. Work with IT functions to define and implement technical and procedural solutions designed to enhance the global information security posture of the Corporation. 3. Actively participate in IT project teams requiring guidance and support regarding information security. 4. Manage technical security analyst staff in the implementation of security strategies and policies. 5. Provide support to the IT organization during regulatory compliance audits. 6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT functional areas regarding the following information security activities: o Network and Host Intrusion Prevention o Firewall Configuration and Management o Anti-Virus Program Management o OS Patch Management o Active Directory Configuration Management o Secure Extranet Initiatives o Information Security Monitoring o Security Incident Response Procedures o Identity Management o Public Key Infrastructure Initiatives o Rights Management Initiatives o Network Access Control Initiatives o Application Software Configuration for Business Critical Applications 7. Lead information security assessments to ensure effective coordination of activities with minimal impact to business operations 8. Maintain an awareness of current and emerging information security threats and new security technologies. Communicate these to Global Information Security staff and to IT function heads, as appropriate. 9. Author information security polices, procedures, and work practices as part of a collaborative team. 10. Travel to all global offices, as required, to provide technical leadership and guidance to IT staff regarding information security initiatives. 11. Mentor and participate in the development of junior members of the Global Information Security team. 12. Other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
