Job Description:
SUMMARY:
We are looking for a candidate to work on development of our next generation RF products. We will be combining our Tire Pressure Monitoring and Remote Keyless Entry products into one receiver unit and also making provisions to add a passive entry capability when the customer demands.
This candidate would be rounding out the team on the customer application side which means he/she would be
analyzing requirements, refining the software architecture, designing and implementing high-level software components ,
delivering requirements to the team developing low-level software components and OS services, integrating software
components, developing test cases and reviewing results, and reviewing the technical work products of other engineers on
the project (including the low-level software).
BASIC FUNCTION: Provide technical expertise for specific products in the software engineering department. Use tools to perform design and implementation of changes into a software product. Utilize strong analytic background in technical field with extensive embedded application experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Be able to proficiently perform the duties of a Sr. Product Engineer, as well as:
1. Interface with PDM and customer on software related issues. Interface with manufacturing and provide necessary manufacturing support.
2. Provide primary technical interface to other engineering centers including joint venture partners for software related activities.
3. Set technical approach for projects and lead product software design efforts. Provide input to MS Project time showing major program milestones, software deliverables, design/program reviews, and resource allocation. Provide updates as requested to keep program schedules accurate and up to date.
4. Make maximum utilization of ?Core? software implementations within the product design. Reflect the utilization of ?Core? implementations when providing schedule input.
5. Develop Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Software Design Document (SDD), Software Verification Report (SVR), and Software Verification Test Table (SVTT) for each software release. Responsible for review of software verification results.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering REQUIRED;
Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Science or Engineering PREFERRED.
Experience: Eight to 10+ years of related experience in engineering or equivalent. Automotive electronic parts and product development process is required. Technical knowledge needed to develop, test and manufacture these products. Ability to lead product development team activities and direct support to other departments. As required, must be able to travel for customer meetings. Good oral and technical writing communication skills. Works well in a team environment.
