Job Description:
Healthcare Organization in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter for a temp to hire position. Experience with ADP a plus! Additional Duties include:
Provides benefit orientations for new hires.
Prepares offer and termination letters.
Prepares, edits and updates job descriptions as needed
Enter employee?s information through ADP (new hires, demographics, direct deposit, deductions, terminations, salary increases, etc.) as a backup to the Finance Supervisor
Manages and update employee?s personnel files
Processes prorated employee contributions for first applicable payroll.
Facilitates and coordinates in-house trainings for staff.
Manage electronic files.
Investigates all complaints (harassment, unfair treatment, etc.)
Recruitment (fill all vacancies, post open positions on various sites, schedule interviews with managers, complete reference checks, consult CEO/COO for approval of recommended salaries, extend offers to candidates, work with temporary agencies)
Processes all request for dental, health insurance, FMLA, and Short-term disability
Processes bi-weekly payroll as a back-up to Finance Supervisor
Process terminations as it relates to collection property (i.d?s, cell phone, ID card) final paycheck, COBRA, vacation payout, Oxford, Guardian)
Communicates with the IS department to ensure computer and phone access for New Hires and Temps.
Produces reports as needed by departments.
Assist Directors/Managers as necessary with resolving internal employee issues
Ensures guidelines are followed for verbal and written warnings.
Provides and facilitates trainings for managers and staff as needed.
Processes and oversees Workers Compensation and Short-Term Disability
Prepare, edit and update personnel policy manuals in conjunction with the CEO as necessary
Update an HR forms (Leave Requests, PRF/TRF, Evaluations, Policies, etc)
Oversees termination process (closeout, COBRA, transfer of files)
Provides personnel info as required including verification of employment.
Oversees the processing of identification cards.
Process unemployment claims and wage garnishments.
Manage exit interview process
Maintains the process for performance evaluations (probationary and annual), volunteer employment and special projects including employee recognition.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area preferred

EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED

Minimum of (1) one year recruitment experience preferred. Knowledge of other Human Resources areas a plus.
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, communication, and telephone skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
Proficient with computer software including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, the Internet.
