Job Description: Perform experimental NVH measurements, local testing and field support Mounting system evaluation, comparison to AEB requirements Interior Noise & Vibration measurement and application troubleshooting Vehicle benchmarking Gather NVH benchmark data from company's-powered and competitive vehicles Maintain and operate NVH measurement equipment for ACE vehicle integration team Software maintenance Calibration maintenance Develop and implement effective test plans Direct pilot center technicians in the execution of experimental work Report and document test & analysis results Use noise, vibration and strain theory to provide technical support for application eng. groups Perform mounting system simulations to troubleshoot vehicle NVH issues Interface with SDA & CRTI to build mounting system simulation models Coordinate workflow into Applied Mechanics support groups (EML, Noise Lab, SDA, CRTI) for vehicle NVH studies Work closely with the Noise Lab to execute of in-depth vehicle NVH studies, such as powertrain & vehicle frame modal analysis, pass-by noise measurement, and transfer path analysis.
Experience Level: 2 Years
Requirements: Keys: Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; concentration on noise, vibration and/or applied mechanics a plus 2-5 years experience in related field
Desired Technical Skills:
Academic coursework or work experience including the following is a plus: Vibration Theory (Modal Analysis, Operation Deflection Shape Analysis), Digital Signal Processing, Diesel engine knowledge a plus Vehicle Noise & Vibration experience a plus Noise & Vibration simulation experience a plus Demonstrated skills in Noise & Vibration measurement a plus
