Job Description:
: ? Develop service level diagnostic procedures and literature to support the company's Expert Diagnostic system. Evaluate the effectiveness of the current troubleshooting procedures and author EDS content to identify the correct repair for engines. Support Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEA) with design engineering, diagnostic and other cross functional groups. Determine the best possible method for field service technicians to identify the failed component. Drive improvements in areas where the effectiveness is low. ? Create EDS solutions from troubleshooting service information for new engine programs. This includes drafting any new EDS troubleshooting information, managing content creation through the technical writing company, and finalizing the release to the EDS tool. ? Support the creation of symptom driven troubleshooting procedures to include component level verification tests and release them to the EDS tool. ? Interpret diagnostic specifications that are critical for engine performance troubleshooting. ? Analyze data from field locations to improve EDS content and prioritization of solutions. ? Take ownership in some EDS process documentation.

Keys:? BS Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. ? Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of engine performance ? Experience with electronic & mechanical diagnostic tools, systems and practices ? Experience of being a team member and having input into DFMEA and Design reviews. ? Critical reasoning and problem solving skills. ? Ability to collect and analyze data to improve technical content into the Expert Diagnostic tool. ? Ability to develop innovative troubleshooting tools and methods knowledge ? Knowledge of engines and control systems and their application. ? Knowledge of engine data link communications. ? Knowledge of field service processes and procedures is highly desired ? Service OE training is highly desired ? Knowledge of engine integration across MR ,HD or HHP is highly desired.
