We have the following direct hire opportunity available with our client in the southwestern metro area:
Sr. Project Engineer with mechanical engineering background to work with product management, sales/marketing, operations and customer to conceive, design and implement creative solutions to consumer and technical problems. Recommend and design innovations and modifications, drive Lean manufacturing principles and lead NPD process. Identify user needs, determine customer requirements and translate into technical requirements and design concepts. Work with cross-functional teams to develop new/modified products and guide strategic technical direction and support new and legacy products.
BACKGROUND:
-Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
-5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment as a mechanical or design engineer within the metal fabrication industry
-Experience working in a Lean / Continuous Improvement environment is preferred
-Knowledge of Canadian and US road regulations, codes, etc.
-Experience with engineering pressure retaining equipment for the transportation industry is desired
-Experience in commercial trailer manufacture industry preferred
