Job Description:
Our Client has an immediate need for a Quality Engineer.
Assist in the technical aspects of assuring Company products meet all code and regulatory requirements as well as meet or exceed customer expectations related to function and product quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in the development of quality management system to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 & ASME requirements.
2. Participate in product & process review to ensure compliance with applicable industrial standards & codes.
3. Participate in risk analysis, product and process quality planning, quality performance, non-conformance prevention and root cause corrective actions.
4. Conduct internal and/or external assessments of Quality Management Systems, prepare and write audit reports and conduct verification activities.
5. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards/procedures for products and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering or Industrial Engineering is required with sound working knowledge of quality assurance and experience in manufacturing environment.
Experience in the documentation, implementation, and maintenance of ISO-9001 quality management systems.
Knowledge of pressure vessel related codes and standards ? such as ASME, DOT, ANSI, ASTM, ISO, IMDG, CSA, etc.
Familiar with FMEA and other quality engineering/assurance techniques.
Skills in successfully working with multi-functional departments to achieve desired results.
Effective in using MS Office Software programs (such as MS Word, Excel, Access, etc.) for data collection
