Job Description: Structural design tasks for industrial facilities. Assignments will be varied and can include such items as specification preparation, design and analysis calculations, detail definition, evaluation of existing facilities. Will owrk with foundation design as well as industrial structural systems (steel and concrete). Will require an ability to make independent decisions on engineering problems and methods, define options, and articulate the best solution(s) to the team. This is not a supervisory position; however, the individual may need to direct the work of other engineers and/or designers on a project basis.
Keys:
· Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with Master degree preferred
· Professional Engineer (PE) required, Structural Engineer (SE) registration preferred
Experience: 5 - 10 years experience in industrial projects. Applicable sectors include: Power, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, and/or Mining
Need to be a flexible and dynamic team player capable of integrating into an international team. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with very good organizational and project documentation habits. Must have excellent analytical skills and proficiency in any one of the industry standard structural analysis programs such as: STAAD, RISA, TEKLA, or SAP. Will need to demonstrate a work experience history of increasing responsibility within an organization. Ability to provide excellent customer service, work well in a collaborative environment and demonstrate effective team building skills is a must. Experience with foundation design as well as industrial structural systems (steel and concrete) is required. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
