Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Daily review of Manufacturing Work Orders, Purchase Price Variances (PPV?s)and related variances. Regularly review and update material cost standards. Determine labor and overhead rates and apply to material cost standards. Assist Controller and Assistant Controller with monthly financial closing process, prepare and analyze monthly Inventory and Gross Margin reports. Provide direction to Operations to ensure transactions are processed correctly. Validate cost of goods sold information at the end of each month.Create reports and spreadsheets as needed by the Controller.

BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
BA in Accounting
Minimum 5 years experience overall is required
Strong cost accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environment
Familiarity with job costing, standard costing, applied overhead, absorption and inventory flow is essential
Experience in a multi-plant environment is helpful
SAP experience is a plus
