Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Design firmware for hearing aid DSP platforms. Collect and define the firmware requirements by collaborating with other product development groups.
Implement and support firmware for existing and future DSP platforms a. Participate in regular review activities during the DSP firmware development process.

BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
Master?s degree in Electrical Engineer or higher in a related field
Firmware using algorithms and assemblies
5+ years of audio or related industry experience
Knowledge of digital and audio signal processing theory
Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
Proficiency in assembly language
Proficiency in Matlab and C/C++
Proficiency with fixed-point algorithm design and implementation
Proficiency with troubleshooting
Attention to detail and good trouble-shooting skills
High degree of proficiency in numerical reasoning and analysis
Proficiency with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters
Proficiency with PC computers and MS Office tools

BACKGROUND DESIRED:
Knowledge of acoustics
Knowledge of hearing aid or cochlear implant development
Knowledge of psychoacoustics
Knowledge of real-time design and processing
Familiarity with serial/wireless communication protocols
