Job Description:
This national major manufacturer of fashionable, comfortable upholstery and casegoods, and Natural Elements, a leading line of elegant island-inspired furnishings for the entire house America's Top furniture manufacturers. This company is in search of a CFO for it's Tennessee location.

Purpose:
Reporting to the CEO, the role of a Portfolio Company CFO role is to provide sound, forward-looking, financial leadership so that the company can effectively manage its assets, control costs, leverage opportunities and grow the business. In some portfolio companies, the CFO will be responsible for managing support functions such as information technology, human resources, risk management and administration. This position also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Group VP under the company's management services agreement. The role works closely with the CEO to manage the required business transformation.

Specific Accountabilities:

I)Financial Reporting:
1-Responsible for timely, accurate, complete and high quality financial and management reporting, including Weekly Flash Reports, Cash Forecasting, Month-end reporting and Balance Sheet preparation in addition to annual Financial Statements.
2-Oversees the preparation of all financial reporting required by banks, creditors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
3-Accountable for preparing tax returns and complying with all other statutory reporting requirements.

II)Financial planning/Analysis:
1-Provides strategic input into both operational/strategic decision-making by providing incisive, forward-looking financial analyses of key business drivers such as cost of goods sold, profitability analysis, operational practices and marketing initiatives.
2-Champions the budgeting process within the company ensuring that it is aligned with stated goals and objectives. Monitors compliance and advises the CEO and any discrepancies, whether actual or projected.
3-Working with the Group VP and CEO, builds out Business Plan for the company. Manages liquidity and creates detailed financial forecasts.

III)Liquidity Management:
1-Responsible for monitoring and maintaining adequate working capital and borrowing capacity to support the company's business plan.
2-Establishes and enforces best practices for working capital management.
3-Identifies non-core assets to monetize as well as other sources for liquidity improvement.

IV)Financial Controls:
1-Ensures appropriate financial controls in financial reporting, allocation of resources and cash management in accordance with established professional standards, requirements and statutory requirements.
2-Accountable for company audit, including all meetings with auditors.
3-Develops capabilities of company's accounting and finance staff.

V) Administration:
1-Depending on company size, may manage support systems such as information technology, human resources, risk management, including insurance and litigation in addition to administration.
2-Hires staff, manages their performance and follows up on discrepancies between desired/expected outcomes.

VI)Communication:
1-Together, with the CEO, responsible for alerting the VP to any issue which may materially affect operating results, company liability, and/or investment returns
2-Functions as primary spokesperson with all financial constituents, e.g. banks, vendors and public investors.

Experience Level:
5+ Years

Requirements:
)15-20 years in an accounting and financial leadership role, ideally in a business turnaround/private equity context.
2)At least 5 years as a CFO
3)Undergraduate degree in accounting or business, CPA preferred.
4)Experience in credit financing, collateral and collateral reporting in addition to cash forecasting/management.
