Job Description:
The Workload Management team is seeking a systems engineer to support a variety of workload management tools.
The tools used are Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Platform Symphony and various internally developed support tools.
An ideal candidate would interact with application teams to provide support of the daily batch cycle and recommend workload scheduling solutions.
Along with supporting vendor scheduling tools and managing the data within them, the resource will work with the workload management development team to enhance the internally developed tool suite providing workload support solutions.
Candidates must possess good communication skills, be self-motivated, and be willing to manage multiple priorities as required.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic support and direction for the enterprise workload scheduler and grid platform.
Working with application teams on scheduling related challenges.
Facilitate workload team involvement in enterprise initiatives.
Contribute to the development of internal tools and documentation.
Participate in team on call rotation, including occasional night and weekend work.
Work with team to evolve ITIL practices.

Requirements:
Min Requirements:
Minimum 4 years working with Tivoli Workload Scheduler or equivalent scheduling software.
Minimum 1 year administering Tivoli Workload Scheduler or equivalent scheduling software.
Capable of implementing scheduling solutions and defining workload standards.
Familiar with the batch cycle of a financial institution preferred
Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
Solid understanding and hands on experience with Unix/Linux.
Prior experience using grid or cloud technologies beneficial.
Prior experience with developing in one or more of the following languages: Perl, Java, shell scripting, PL/SQL.
Prior exposure to ITIL based services.
Prior exposure to the following technologies beneficial: Web Services, ETL/DataStage, Subversion/AccuRev, XML, ExtJS/DoJo/jQuery, Websphere MQ/ActiveMQ, Tomcat, HTML, Eclipse, Oracle SQL Developer, Windows administration.
