Job Description:
Our Client, which is a US$ 550 billion Investment Management Firm, urgently requires a Oracle Application Server (Oracle AS) Administrator.
Project Description:
This Oracle Application Server Administrator will assist in installation and configuration of Discoverer, Forms and Reports Services. This ideal candidate is one who is a self-starter and who is capable of working independently.
Deployment of OAS Additional Components on current Discoverer configuration.
Implement Oracle AS 10g Release 2 Infrastructure and migrate current OracleAS standalone to infrastructure.
Configuration of Oracle Portal and Single Sign-on.
Implement Oracle Forms and Reports Services.
Analysis of Forms and Reports 6i to 10g Conversion.
Conversion of a sample set of 10 reports and 2 forms applications to the new 10g environment for analysis.
Identification of potential conversion issues.
Impact assessment of conversion on major Forms and Reports applications.
Effort estimates and project plan for implementation, conversion and testing.

Experienced as Oracle Application Server Administrator: (Required).
Expertise in Oracle Application Server installation, administration and configuration - Version 10g Release 2: (Required).
Expertise in Oracle Portal: (Required).
Expertise in Oracle Single Sign-on/OID: (Required).
Expertise in Oracle Forms/Reports 6i and 10g: (Required).
Expertise in Unix (Solaris 8): (Required).
Expertise in Perl: (Required).
Expertise in working on Oracle 9.2 Database: (Required).
Expertise in HA configuration experience highly desired (VCS): (Required).
