Our Client is a large Investment Trading Firm.
Project Description:
Our client requires a BMC Infrastructure Specialist with Windows Systems Administration experience to assist in design, deployment, and ongoing support of monitoring infrastructure.
Operational Tasks:
Ongoing development of monitors and rules. IE: Create a monitor to scan an application log and a rule to route it to the appropriate on-call group.
Agent installations and upgrades
User account maintenance
Scheduling of blackout windows for scheduled maintenance
Maintenance of server inventory
Maintenance of file system inventory
Experience Level:
5+ Years
Requirements:
Tools/Technologies/Skills/Experience:
Experience in BMC Performance Manager Portal 2.5 or above: (Required).
Experience in BMC Event Manager 7.1 or above: (Required).
Experience in BMC Patrol agents 3.1 or above: (Required).
Experience in BMC RT Server: (Required).
Experience in BMC Patrol Distribution Server: (Required).
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or VBScript: (Required).
Basic knowledge of UNIX commands such as DF, IOSTAT and top, SSH etc.: (Required).
Basic knowledge of Windows performance collectors, specifically perfmon and WMI: (Required).
Exposure in Oracle / SQL: (Required).
BMC Monitoring Tools: (Required).
Very strong experience in Microsoft Windows: (Required).
Some exposure in Visual Basic: (Required).
Experience in Solaris: (Highly Desirable).
Experience UNIX: (Highly Desirable).
Experience Windows2000: (Highly Desirable).
Experience WindowsNT: (Highly Desirable).
Experience in Perl: (Highly Desirable).
Experience in UNIX Shell Scripting: (Highly Desirable).
