Job Description:
Our Client is a large Investment Trading Firm.
Our client's Equity Trading team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (DELPHI and ORACLE) to become an integral member of the development team, which is responsible for enhancing and evolving the applications used by our client?s Equity Trading business group.
Job Responsibilities:
As a senior member of this team, the selected Senior Software Engineer (DELPHI and ORACLE) will have the following responsibilities:
Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support of applications within the Equity Trading suite of applications.
Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements.
Good presentation skills are a must as the candidate will be interacting with the end users and gathering requirements as well.
The candidate will be joining a team that is comprised on on-shore and off-shore resources. The selected Consultant will initially be doing enhancements and then new development.
All candidates MUST have experience with high volume, high stress load systems.

Requirements:
Tools/Technologies/Experience/Skills:
5+ years in systems development using Delphi, they are currently on 5.0 and are moving to 2007 in Q1/Q2 of 2010:Required.
Experience with Object Pascal (EurekaLog, DevExpress, XML Partner, Indy Internet Direct, ODBC, Direct Oracle Access):Required.
3+ years experience with Oracle, PL/SQL database programming:Required.
Experience with Java, .NET and Linux is a plus. The more experience that a candidate has in this area the longer the potential term of the assignment will be.
Experience developing high-performance trading and/or transactional applications:Required.
Strong analysis, design and modeling skills : Highly Desirable.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database and PL/SQL (complex Queries and some stored procedures):Required.
Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a business-critical production environment
Trading experience: Highly Desirable.
Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies and their effective application: Highly Desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Highly Desirable.
Education:
Computer Science degree or related field.
