Project Description:
The experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer will join the Fixed Income Systems team and support and develop PL/SQL, PERL and UNIX based infrastructure for our client's fixed income trading business. In addition, the individual needs to be proficient in Object Oriented programming techniques using JAVA and XML.
The individual must have demonstrated use of outstanding software development practices. Professional systems analysis, functional design, and documentation skills are necessary. Prior knowledge of financial industry and investment processes and experience with tools like Oracle Reports, Forms, Discoverer, Excel VBA is preferred. Exposure to scheduling tools like MAESTRO will be a distinct advantage.
Daily Activities:
Handle support requests, and to design and implement the enhancements for the application. This experienced Oracle Developer is also responsible for writing unit tests and design documentation.

Requirements:
Tools/Technologies/Experience/Skills:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL:( Required).
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in JAVA:( Required).
Minimum 3 years of experience in UNIX Shell Scripting:( Required).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Perl:( Required).
5 years of professional development experience, preferably in the investment industry or equivalent experience:( Required).
Experience in Oracle Forms/Reports and Discoverer:( Highly Desired).
Experience in Excel VBA :( Highly Desired).
Experience in Maestro or similar job scheduling tool :( Highly Desired).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering / mathematical studies.
